Terms, privacy & export compliance.
Plain-language terms for the FSAP public beta. Formal documents are issued with your license token; this page summarizes what they say.
Beta license & terms
FSAP is provided free of charge during the public beta to students, student rocketry teams, educational institutions, and nonprofit engineering organizations. Your license is single-named-user and tied to the token issued from the Request software page.
- Use FSAP for coursework, competition, research, and nonprofit engineering work. Don't resell, sublicense, or share your token.
- Beta software is provided “as is,” without warranty. Always sanity-check results against hand calculations and test data before acting on them — FSAP is an engineering aid, not a substitute for review.
- We may update or pause the beta as the suite evolves. Your decks are plain-text JSON and always remain yours.
Privacy
We collect only what's needed to run the beta: the name, email, and organization you submit when requesting access, plus basic activation telemetry (version and activation status) so we can support you.
- We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers.
- Your decks and results stay on your machine unless you choose to send them to us for support.
- Ask us to remove your account and request data at any time via the contact address below.
Export compliance / ITAR notice
FSAP is a general-purpose thermofluid network solver. The program itself is not ITAR-controlled and is comparable to other published engineering tools. However, the data you model may be controlled — specific propulsion geometries, performance figures, and design details can fall under ITAR or EAR.
- You are responsible for handling controlled technical data appropriately, including who may view your decks and results.
- Don't place export-controlled technical data on shared or unauthorized systems.
- If you're unsure whether your project is controlled, consult your institution's or organization's export-control office before sharing models.
